The fashion world went buzzing when H&M announced their designer collaboration for 2016 yesterday. As always, the highly anticipated annual collaboration does not disappoint with big names being announced and this year Kenzo joins the fast-fashion league adding this Parisian house into H&M's esteemed alumni to create a unique and vibrant collection that will capture the energy of global culture and inject a youthful spirit in their designs.

The collection will be available in selected stores worldwide and also online via their website on November 3rd, 2016. Watch the video below and keep your eyes peeled for the lookbook release soon!

H&M has once again teamed up with Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival for another collection for 2016. The collection embeds the on-the-road, street-savvy and artsy vibe with their subtle prints, folk influences and a bit of Boheme meets Cowboy through the denim cut-offs and dungarees. The looks this time round are all about mixing, not matching to convey a message of ease and freedom. 

For the second year, H&M will have a pop-up shop on-site in the H&M tent where festival goers can buy the exclusive collection, take a break from the heat, and enjoy an interactive social experience. For those who can't make it to Coachella, the collection will be in stores nationwide on March 31st 2016.

When I was younger, I would dread the times when my parents dragged me to household shopping. It felt endless and nothing excites me. That lasted until I got married, have our own place instead of living with our parents and started to cook and hosting friends. I became the makcik (a Malay term for typical Asian auntiesm usually loud and easily amused by womanly things). I guess as an angsty teen I never realised that this would be a rite of passage most women would go through. Believe me, it has nothing to do with degrading women but I feel more confident as a modern woman who knows how to handle myself in the house and also the kitchen. 

With that, nothing excites me more than the launch of H&M Home in Malaysia. I actually find it more exciting than a new pair of shoes. H&M Malaysia invited me to the preview of the things that would be in store with a warning - what you're seeing (in the photos below) are only a small fraction of the range that would be available this 24th July 2014 at Avenue K branch. 

H&M Home proudly introduces their Autumn designs, inspired by the softness of Nordic autumn light in shades of grey and soft pastels. A hint of glimmer is achieved with some metallics on brass bowls, trays, candleholders and other functional decor. To give your home a little opulence, textures and contrast, there are velvet and PU leather cushion covers, laced bed accessories and more. For the autumn dining table, combination of glass and wood creates a lovely contrast that still have the essence of homely warmth. There's something for everyone at H&M Home - eclectic pieces mixed with vintage glass, modern metallics and Scandinavian style minimalist. You are bound to find a piece to bring back home.

For someone who is into home decor like me (yes, it happened since I got married and moved into a studio), I've been trying to contain this mini fireworks of excitement when I received a rumour that H&M Home will be in Malaysia this year. Now I can finally let everything burst by letting you know that yes, the rumours are true. 

I had to calm myself down, drink a glass of iced water, and spread the news that affordable, chic home decor by H&M will be available in the Avenue K store by end of July 2014. Malaysia will be the first country to be selling H&M Home in Southeast Asia, an addition of fashionable, fun interior products to the existing mammoth stores they have in Kuala Lumpur. 

The range will cater everything from household essentials to decorative touches. Designed in-house by their Head of Design, Eveline Kravaev Söderberg and her team, there will be something for every room in the house.
