Preview - H&M Studio S/S 2016

For Spring/Summer 2016, H&M Studio is all about taking the opportunity that comes all season long by always exploring and going on adventures while staying glamorous throughout. Bohemian chic influences were strong in this collection - prints, throw-on layers mixed with a little hint of summer beachwear. Almost perfect for that Californian roadtrip you've always dreamed of at the end of Summer, finished off with a great music festival in the middle of nowhere. The earthy, sun-bleached shades with each piece being effortless, ready for the next impromptu outing in the city or out surrounded by nature.

I personally loved most of the pieces that were displayed, as they were pieces I'd pack in my luggage for my next Summer road trip vacation through the coastline. The performance hooded outerwear for my hiking days, loose drawstring dresses for the lounging days in a small seaside town while I'd have the bikini on underneath for times when I find a hidden beach along the way. My nights would be layered with their knits sweaters over the shorts or knit skirts - ready for a bonfire and an oyster and dinner date. Functional yet stylish is the key to this infinite travel-friendly collection, ready to be packed in one of their backpacks or carry-all with the same theme.

Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M's head of design explains that the Studio SS16 collection is an adventure in style - for girls who are always exploring be it in the city or on the trip of a lifetime, mixes femininity, sportswear and constantly looking effortless.

H&M Studio SS16 collection will be available at H&M Lot 10 from February 25, 2016 onwards.

Hors d'oeuvres by Root Cellar KL, and terrarium making workshop was part of the media showcase. Rustic and earthy, fitting with the collection.
